"Horses in Love" ~ This magnificent mixed media painting by artist Tatiana Cast is created on reclaimed wood with the use of recycled elements and the artist's own photographic images of her horses. The painting represents the tender love of horses and our own ability to love tenderly. Beyond the beautiful image, it is important to note the choice of materials used by the artist to create the artwork; as a nature lover, many of her art pieces are created on reclaimed wood as a statement to remind us of the fragility of nature and our responsibility to care for it. "Red Pagoda" ~ The softly antiqued colors and bold scripting of the painting "Red Pagoda" by artist Tristina Dietz Elmes reminded her of the pagodas that dotted the countryside and cities alike in China and Japan that she enjoyed visiting on her treks across these countries. There is a haiku-esque style poem written by the Artist on the back of the painting, "Red pagoda in the sun. Cold breeze. Hot tea, warm heart." This artwork is painted on fine art watercolor paper and is framed in white.
