The coin on this artwork is hand made by the Artist and fashioned after old Asian money. The characters in the artwork are free-form meanderings of her personal language in the 'clerical', 'running', and 'grass' Asian painting style scripts.
The painting includes a haiku style poem written by the Artist on the back: "Burning cup, tea steam wafting. Straw floor, coal heat. Down blanket; sound of snowflakes landing."
